Psalms 137-139

Sunday's Bible Reading: Psalms 137-139

This morning we are watching our church service online in our motel room in Lexington before starting the last stretch of the trip back to Grand Rapids. These verses from today's Bible reading are fitting for Thanksgiving and also for the communion service in progress at Calvary Church . . .
1 I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart;
before the "gods" I will sing your praise.

2 I will bow down toward your holy temple
and will praise your name
for your love and your faithfulness,
for you have exalted above all things
your name and your word. —Psalm 138:1-2

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.

24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. —Psalm 139:23-24
